Laser Skin Therapist
Job Description
- Perform laser treatments such as hair removal, skin resurfacing, pigmentation correction, acne scar reduction, and vascular lesion removal.
- Conduct detailed skin assessments and consultations to determine suitable treatments.
- Prepare treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and skin types.
- Operate and maintain laser and light-based equipment according to safety protocols.
- Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care and skincare products.
- Maintain accurate client records and progress notes.
- Stay updated on new technologies, treatments, and industry best practices.
- Ensure a clean, sterile, and comfortable treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Consultation and Skin Assessment

Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their skincare concerns, medical history, and desired outcomes.

Evaluate skin types, conditions, and sensitivities to determine suitability for laser treatments.

Discuss treatment options, benefits, potential side effects, risks, and aftercare with clients in a clear and professional manner.

Obtain informed consent before beginning any procedures.
2. Laser Treatment Services

Perform a variety of laser-based skin procedures, which may include:

Laser hair removal

Skin rejuvenation

Laser resurfacing
-
Acne and scar treatment

Pigmentation and vascular lesion removal

Tattoo removal

Calibrate and operate laser and light-based devices in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.

Maintain the highest level of hygiene and client safety during all treatments.

Monitor client comfort and skin reactions throughout procedures and adjust settings as necessary.
3. Pre- and Post-Treatment Care

Provide clients with detailed pre-treatment instructions to ensure optimal results and reduce risk of adverse reactions.

Deliver thorough aftercare guidance to promote healing, prevent complications, and support long-term skin health.

Follow up with clients as needed to assess results, provide ongoing support, and recommend further treatments.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping

Maintain accurate and confidential client records including consultations, treatment plans, consent forms, and progress notes.

Document any adverse reactions and report to the clinic manager or medical team as appropriate.

Stay compliant with local healthcare, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
5. Equipment Maintenance and Safety

Ensure all laser devices and tools are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained according to industry standards.

Conduct regular equipment checks and report any issues to the clinic manager or technical team.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure clients are protected during treatments.
6. Client Relationship Management
