Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Lawyer to join our legal team. As a Lawyer, you will provide legal counsel to clients, represent them in court or other legal proceedings, draft legal documents, and assist in complex legal matters. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of the law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Representation & Litigation:

Court Representation: Represent clients in court for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Prepare clients for their appearances and ensure effective advocacy.

Dispute Resolution: Provide legal representation in civil, criminal, corporate, or family law disputes. Work towards resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

Legal Strategy: Develop case strategies, providing clients with options and recommending courses of action based on legal expertise and the client’s needs.
2. Legal Research & Analysis:

Case Research: Conduct in-depth research on case laws, statutes, legal precedents, and industry regulations to support case preparation.

Legal Opinions: Provide legal opinions and advice on complex issues, helping clients navigate legal challenges.

Documentation Review: Analyze and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for accuracy, compliance, and risk assessment.
3. Drafting Legal Documents:

Legal Drafting: Draft, review, and revise legal documents including contracts, agreements, pleadings, petitions, memoranda, and other court documents.

Contracts and Agreements: Advise clients on structuring, negotiating, and drafting contracts and business agreements.

Legal Notices & Letters: Draft and send legal notices to clients, third parties, or government authorities on behalf of clients.
4. Client Advisory & Communication:

Client Consultation: Advise clients on legal matters, provide recommendations, and keep them informed about the progress of their cases.

Client Relationship: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service.

Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel or third parties to reach favorable settlements for clients.
5. Case Management:

Case Monitoring: Oversee case progress, ensuring that deadlines are met and that all documentation and filings are timely and accurate.

Compliance: Ensure that all cases comply with relevant laws and regulations and that legal procedures are followed correctly.

Collaborative Work: Work closely with other lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants to manage case files and maintain effective workflows.
6. Legal Training & Development:

Continuing Education: Keep up to date with the latest legal developments, case laws, and industry trends.

Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior lawyers, interns, or legal assistants, providing training or support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university.

LLM or specialized legal certifications (e.g., in corporate law, litigation, intellectual property) is an advantage.
