Job Description
LCA / EPD Role – Key Skills & Expectations
1. Engineering / Environmental Expertise
Strong foundation in engineering/environmental disciplines; understanding of materials,
product structures, and manufacturing processes; ability to apply knowledge to real products
and propose sustainability improvements.
2. LCA & Sustainability Knowledge
Understanding of ISO 14040/44;
ability to execute LCA studies,
develop LCI datasets, and support sustainability strategies.
3. EPD Capability
Knowledge of ISO 14025 and PCRs; ability to develop, validate, and support EPDs.
4. Data & BOM Management
Strong BOM understanding; ability to clean, validate, and structure data; ensure no gaps and
avoid double counting.
5. LCA Tools & Platforms
Experience with Makersite or tools like GaBi/SimaPro/OpenLCA; ability to build models and
reports.
6. Systems Knowledge
Knowledge of ERP (Oracle), PLM (Windchill), and data systems.
7. Problem Solving
Ability to identify data issues and troubleshoot modeling problems.
8. Collaboration
Work with engineering, procurement, sustainability teams, and external agencies.
9. Execution & Ownership
Lead LCA modeling, validation, and EPD development; ensure timely delivery.
10. Communication
Communicate insights clearly and support decision-making.
11. Continuous Improvement
Drive process improvements and standardization.
12. Education & Experience
Degree in Engineering/Environmental fields with relevant experience.
Job responsibilities:
•Use product knowledge (functional business knowledge, eg: assembly product structure),
data management (eg: materials management & its associated processing), and tool skills to
develop and support LCA models in Makersite and reports generation.
• Support implementation of the LCA plan and develop LCA reports, to communicate
actionable information and impact.
• Ensure timely completion of the models by working with the business teams globally.
• Coordinate with tool supplier (Makersite) to track and resolve tool issues / improvements.
• Working knowledge in data systems such as Oracle / ERP, CREO, S360,
Compliance/Quality systems & Windchill / PLM is an advantage.
