Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of backend development experience, coupled with strong leadership and coaching skills. This role requires someone passionate about Agile methodologies, adept at sprint planning, effective delegation, and maintaining high-quality documentation. The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring the team and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering an Agile culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Effectively plan, organize, and execute sprints, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, delegated based on individual team member strengths, and deadlines are consistently met.
- Coach and guide team members to enhance technical skills and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of clear, comprehensive, and accurate technical documentation.
- Implement and enforce best practices in coding standards, code reviews, and continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance to ensure scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of backend development experience.
- Proven experience leading teams in an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in Python, PHP, HTML, and strong familiarity with AWS services.
- In-depth knowledge of Docker, RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Experience implementing caching mechanisms, especially Redis.
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications in Agile methodologies, AWS, or related technologies.
- Previous experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
