Job description
  • Search for people or companies who might be interested in the company’s product or service.
  • Reach out to them through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp, or website chat.
  • Give a simple introduction about what the company offers and how it can help them.
  • Ask basic questions to understand what the customer is looking for.
  • Send details of interested and suitable leads to the sales or demo team for follow-up.
  • Keep all lead information updated in Excel, CRM, or any software used by the company.
  • Call or message again if a customer showed interest earlier but didn’t respond.
  • Support marketing efforts by responding to leads generated from ads, social media, or website.
  • Meet the assigned target for number of calls, leads generated, or appointments booked.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Identification and Prospecting

  • Conduct thorough research on target industries, companies, and decision-makers using online databases, LinkedIn, company websites, and directories.

  • Identify potential customers based on ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and create lists for outreach.

  • Use web tools, CRM platforms, or lead generation software to source qualified leads.

2. Outreach and Engagement

  • Initiate contact with potential leads via emails, cold calls, and social media channels (such as LinkedIn or Facebook, if applicable).

  • Craft personalized outreach messages that clearly communicate the value proposition and generate interest in the company’s offerings.

  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and qualify them for the sales process.

3. Lead Qualification

  • Assess and filter leads based on criteria such as budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT).

  • Ask probing questions to understand the lead’s business challenges, goals, and current solutions in place.

  • Pass qualified leads to the sales team with accurate and complete information.

4. Database and CRM Management

  • Maintain and update lead data accurately in CRM tools such as Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, or any internal database system.

  • Track lead status, communication history, and follow-up schedules to ensure timely engagement.

  • Ensure clean data hygiene and avoid duplication of entries.

5. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams

  • Work closely with the sales team to understand the ideal target audience and improve the quality of leads generated.

  • Share insights and feedback on lead behavior, industry trends, or prospect objections to improve pitch strategies.

  • Coordinate with marketing to align lead generation activities with ongoing campaigns and events.

6. Reporting and Analysis

  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on lead generation metrics including leads contacted, qualified, and passed to sales.

  • Analyze data to identify patterns, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.

  • Provide insights and suggestions to optimize future outreach efforts.

7. Target Achievement

  • Meet or exceed lead generation quotas as defined by the organization.

  • Maintain consistency in generating leads across various channels and ensure pipeline flow.

  • Strive to achieve a high lead-to-conversion rate through effective qualification and follow-ups.
