Lean Coach - R&D Lean Agile Transformation (10-13 Years)
Domain: R&D / Engineering Product Development
Role Summary
Experienced Lean Coach to support Lean Agile Transformation across R&D and engineering organizations. Partner with Senior Lean Coaches, engineering leaders, and cross-functional teams to improve product development flow, collaboration, and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping (Current and Future State) across product development and engineering workflows.
• Coach engineering leaders and teams on Lean Product Development and continuous improvement practices.
• Lead structured problem-solving workshops using A3, PDCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, and related methods.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, retrospectives, and improvement workshops.
• Identify bottlenecks, rework, delays, and handoff inefficiencies across R&D value streams.
• Support portfolio, program, and team-level improvement initiatives.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and enable alignment across functions.
• Work closely with Senior Lean Coaches to coordinate transformation initiatives, workshops, stakeholder engagements, and follow-up actions.
• Act as a trusted partner to Senior Coaches to sustain transformation outcomes and capability building.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10-13 years of experience in Lean Transformation, Operational Excellence, Engineering Excellence, Product Development, or Lean Coaching roles.
• Experience working with R&D, Engineering, Product Development, or Innovation organizations.
• Strong expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Lean Product Development, Kaizen, A3 Thinking, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership engagement skills.
• Strong understanding of team dynamics, change management, and organizational transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Agile, Scrum, or Coaching certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in Automotive Engineering or Automotive R&D environments is highly desirable.
