The VP Legal Entity Finance, UK IWM entities will join a team responsible for ensuring the financial information for the entities is accurate, reliable, timely well governed and well controlled, including the management, statutory and regulatory financial reporting of the entities. The team also supports the CFO in executing their prescribed responsibilities under SMCR. The role reports to the Head of Legal Entity Finance IWM entities EMEA. The existing UK IWM Legal Entity Finance team includes 2 Vice Presidents and 1 Assistant Vice President all based in London. The team relies on service provision and collaboration from FMAR in India; AM Finance in Poland, Switzerland and the USA; IWM Finance in the UK and Switzerland; and both BMR and LMR in London and Pune. The VP manages day to day relationships across the business and corporate functions. The UK IWM Group of entities includes Credit Suisse UK Ltd (CSUK) and its subsidiaries which are the UK Private Banking Entities; Credit Suisse Asset Management Limited (CSAML) and its parent which facilitates the global Credit Suisse Asset Management business in the UK; and Aventicum Capital Management (UK) LLP and its corporate members and fellow UK group legal entity. The key responsibility of the VP LE Finance, UK IWM Legal Entities support the review challenge and governance of the following CFO services provided to the in-scope entities Liquidity management i.e. UK LMR, EMEA Treasury and the Global Liquidity Group (GLG); Capital management i.e. UK BMR; Statutory financial reporting and regulatory disclosures i.e. Legal Entity Standard Reporting (LESR); Financial, prudential and statistical regulatory reporting i.e. LEAR, LESR and ICLC; and Regular financial reporting to the in scope entities Boards, Audit Committees, Executive Committees and other governance forums. In addition to the above primary responsibility, further responsibilities include but are not limited to Providing a level of independent review and challenge for all BAU financial, prudential and statistical regulatory reporting and Pillar 3 disclosures for in scope entities; Managing outsourcing governance arrangements for CFO services provided to the in-scope entities; Preparing material on financial and regulatory matters for relevant governance committees; Managing the day-to-day interaction with external audit teams; Providing input and subject matter expertise on New Business projects for in scope entities; Delivering annual financial and capital plans and periodic forecasts for in scope entities; Delivering monthly financial forecasting for material legal entities to Group in line with requirements; As necessary, contributing to the response to regulatory queries and/or communications to/from the in scope entities regulators; and Open to discussing flexible/agile working You Offer Required background and experience Qualified accountant; Proven experience as a financial controller or senior accountant; Knowledge of key wealth management products and their financial and regulatory accounting implications; Experience of the application of IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards; Detailed knowledge of the UK regulatory regime, including awareness of key prudential requirements for banks and investment firms; and Project management experience Key Competencies Ability to influence effectively across global teams; Ability to build and maintain relationships and trust with partners and peers; Excellent attention to detail; Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including being able to deliver complex information succinctly to a broad range of audiences; Demonstrated interest in the wealth management industry Good prioritisation skills to facilitate managing multiple deliverables, as well as ensuring a strong control environment and continuous improvement.
