Job Overview

The Legal Opinion Writer will be responsible for preparing well-researched legal opinions, scrutinizing property and business-related documents, drafting legal notices, and verifying legal papers. The role involves collaborating with advocates, clients, and management to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Opinion & Drafting

  • Prepare legal opinions based on case laws, contracts, and statutory provisions.

  • Draft legal notices, agreements, contracts, affidavits, and other legal documents.

  • Provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients or management.

  • Interpret legal clauses and explain implications to stakeholders.

2. Legal Scrutiny & Document Verification

  • Examine property documents, sale deeds, agreements, title deeds, and registration papers to ensure authenticity and compliance.

  • Review corporate documents such as Memorandum of Association (MoA), Articles of Association (AoA), partnership deeds, and licenses.

  • Identify potential legal risks and suggest corrective measures.

  • Verify documentation for property purchases, leases, and business transactions.

3. Legal Notice Preparation & Issuance

  • Draft and issue legal notices related to disputes, recoveries, property claims, and contractual breaches.

  • Follow up with clients and opposing parties regarding notices served.

  • Maintain records of all legal notices issued and responses received.

4. Litigation Support & Coordination

  • Assist advocates in preparing case briefs, petitions, and supporting documents.

  • Coordinate with legal counsel for litigation and arbitration matters.

  • Provide necessary legal documents and opinions to support ongoing cases.

5. Compliance & Advisory Role

  • Keep track of updates in property laws, corporate laws, contract laws, and regulatory changes.

  • Ensure that business operations and documentation comply with relevant laws.

  • Advise clients and management on dispute resolution and legal risk management.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of property laws, corporate laws, and contract regulations.

  • Drafting Skills: Ability to prepare legal notices, agreements, and well-structured opinions.

  • Document Verification Skills: Proficiency in verifying property, business, and individual legal documents.

  • Analytical Ability: Capability to identify legal loopholes and assess risks accurately.
