Level Designer Jobs in Chandigarh - Gill Media Studio

Gill Media Studio is hiring for an enthusiastic 3D Level Designer/Environment Artist Unreal Engine 4 UE4 with a keen attention to detail and a passion for environmental storytelling to help bring the world of our CGI feature to life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Takes assets through the full modeling/texturing production pipeline

- Optimizes textures and geometry; creates LOD's

- Creates modular kits

- Material assignment and advanced shader creation

- Works independently and actively communicates with production teams as needed

- Maintains performance requirements for levels (memory, framerate, draw calls, instances)

- Scopes levels for on-time milestone delivery

- Maintains consistent style under the direction of the Art Director and Environment Artist

- Other duties may be assigned

Skills REQUIRED

-1+ years of experience working as an 3D Environment Artist in Unreal Engine 4

-Proficient in workflow with Quixel, Megascans, Mixer shaders.

-Experience with PBR material pipeline and lighting

-Ability to balance 3D aesthetic with realtime performance and optimisation

-Effective at working in cross discipline teams to achieve a shared mission

-Excellent foundations skills, including composition, design, and color theory.

-Ability to meet deadlines under tight schedules.

-Willingness to receive direction and work closely with a team.

-Houdini knowledge is a plus.

PREFERRED

-Professional experience working in Unreal Engine 4

-experience working with art outsourcing

-Portfolio showcasing a breadth of stylized art

-Other disciplines such as shader development, character modeling, effects, procedural asset creation a huge plus

Freshers with good Portfolio will also be considered.
