We are seeking a dedicated and organized Librarian to manage our school library and foster a love for reading and research among students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about books, possess excellent organizational skills, and be comfortable working with children and young adults.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the school library’s collection, resources, and systems
Assist students and staff in locating and selecting reading and reference materials
Promote reading programs, book fairs, and literary activities
Classify, catalog, and organize books, magazines, and digital resources
Guide students in developing research and information literacy skills
Enforce library rules and ensure a quiet, productive environment
Collaborate with teachers to support classroom learning through library resources
Maintain inventory and update records regularly

Requirements:

· B.Lib / M.Lib from a recognized institution

· 1 to 5 years of experience in a school library setting preferred

· Proficiency in library management software and digital cataloguing

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

· A passion for books, learning, and working with children
