Job Description
- Quality Systems Management: Maintain and improve quality manuals, procedures, and systems like ISO 9001.
- Process Monitoring & Control: Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and document manufacturing methods.
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct routine inspections and functional tests on battery components and finished packs using specialized equipment to ensure compliance.
- Defect Analysis & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues, analyze defects, and determine root causes to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Supplier Quality: Conduct supplier quality audits and manage supplier quality expectations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records, prepare quality reports, and present data to management on product quality and process performance.
- Process Improvement: Support and lead activities to improve process efficiency and product quality, often using tools like design of experiments (DOE).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Lithium-ion battery technologies, including development, design, manufacturing, and performance testing.
- Quality Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency in quality management systems, problem-solving tools (e.g., root cause analysis, 8D, DOE), and statistical analysis (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform failure analysis and tolerance analysis.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with production, engineering, and other internal and external groups.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining quality standards.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate quality issues and collaborate on solutions.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field is typically required.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the battery or automotive industry is a plus.
- Quality Certifications: Certifications like Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ CQE can be beneficial.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Ability to mentor and guide teams, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
