Job Description

· Liaisoning & negotiating with Suppliers / Vendors / Truckers for timely placement of trucks at competitive rates.

· Equalize between demand & supply and responsible for vehicle placement

· Identifying new transporters & closing deals to convert these prospects as our clients

· Maintain good relationship with existing clients

· Timely collection of advance & balance payments

· Vehicle tracking & monitoring

· Co-ordination for timely delivery of goods & materials

· POD follow-up

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shipment & Delivery Coordination:

Coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouse and from warehouse to clients.
Schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery to end customers.
Liaise with logistics vendors, transport partners, and courier services to optimize delivery timelines.
Monitor shipments to ensure they arrive on time and resolve any delivery issues or delays.

2. Order & Inventory Management:

Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to monitor stock levels and plan for reorders or dispatches.
Ensure accurate order fulfillment, packaging, labeling, and dispatch.
Maintain real-time inventory reports and update systems for stock movement.

3. Documentation & Compliance:

Prepare and manage documentation for shipments including invoices, delivery challans, transport permits, and purchase orders.
Ensure all logistics operations are compliant with government and company regulations (e.g., GST, E-way bills, export/import norms if applicable).
Keep detailed records of shipments, logistics costs, delivery timelines, and vendor performance.

4. Vendor & Transport Management:

Identify and maintain relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transport vendors.
Negotiate rates, monitor service level agreements (SLAs), and resolve issues with service providers.
Evaluate vendor performance regularly and recommend improvements.

5. Communication & Coordination:

Act as a liaison between sales, warehouse, procurement, and clients to ensure smooth information flow.
Communicate delivery schedules, stock updates, and shipping timelines to internal teams and customers.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and update them about delivery status.

6. Cost Optimization & Process Improvement:

Monitor logistics costs and suggest areas for cost reduction.
Continuously analyze logistics workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Assist in developing logistics strategies that align with overall business goals.
