Job Description
Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator (Telecom) is responsible for managing the movement, storage, and distribution of telecom equipment and materials such as BTS equipment, cables, routers, antennas, batteries, and other network infrastructure components. The role ensures timely delivery to telecom sites, warehouses, and project locations while maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating with vendors, transporters, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics & Transportation Management
Coordinate transportation and delivery of telecom materials to project sites and warehouses.
Plan dispatch schedules for BTS equipment, antennas, fiber cables, batteries, routers, and telecom hardware.
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with transport vendors and courier partners.
2. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
Maintain accurate inventory records of telecom equipment.
Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement.
Conduct regular stock verification and reconciliation.
Ensure proper storage of sensitive telecom equipment.
3. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and transport partners.
Monitor delivery timelines and vendor performance.
Resolve logistics-related issues or delays.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain logistics documentation including:
Delivery Challans
Material Dispatch Notes
Gate Passes
Transport Bills
Update ERP / inventory management systems.
Prepare daily/weekly logistics reports.
5. Project & Site Coordination
Coordinate with field engineers, project managers, and site teams for material requirements.
Ensure material availability for telecom site installation.
Manage reverse logistics for faulty or excess materials.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure safe handling of telecom equipment.
Follow company logistics and warehouse policies.
Maintain compliance with transportation regulations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
Diploma in logistics/supply chain (preferred).
Experience
2–5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the telecom or infrastructure sector.
Experience handling telecom equipment logistics is an advantage.
