Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Programming & Setup:

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using software such as Mastercam, Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain.

Perform machine setup, including tool selection, workpiece clamping, and fixture alignment for multi-axis machining.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D CAD models to create precise machining instructions.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions, programming errors, and tooling issues to minimize downtime.

Perform routine machine calibration, maintenance, and preventive servicing to ensure optimal performance.

Analyze machining defects and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards and tolerances.
Multi-Axis Machining & Process Optimization:
-
Operate and program 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring efficient material removal and surface finish.

Optimize machining parameters (feeds, speeds, depth of cut) to improve cycle time and tool life.

Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques to enhance production efficiency.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure finished components meet industry standards, tight tolerances, and customer specifications.

Perform first-article inspection (FAI) and use precision measuring tools such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Maintain detailed process documentation, setup sheets, and inspection reports.
Collaboration & Training:

Work closely with production engineers, machinists, and design teams to develop efficient machining strategies.

Train and mentor junior machinists on best practices in CNC programming, setup, and troubleshooting.

Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure proper upkeep of CNC equipment.
