Job Description
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Update the computerized maintenance management system database with PM activities, equipment data, and maintenance history
2. Update working instructions for changed equipment/processes
3. Conduct root cause analysis of recurring problems and initiate corrective actions
4. Study & reduce maintenance costs, through optimum utilization of resources
5. Plan & carry out improvements/modifications of equipment to improve productivity, safety & quality
6. Reduce waste & improve process reliability by applying process improvement tools
7. Identify & reduce non-value-adding activities
8. Provide inputs for preparation of operating expenses budget
9. Handle estimation & planning of engineering spares, consumables & services
10. Coordinate with the central maintenance team for procurement of engineering items
11. Work on the inspection of incoming engineering items
