The Maintenance Specialist manages QT lab equipment operations and is responsible for maintaining equipment and semi-automated systems to meet lab testing demands
Independently troubleshoots equipment breakdowns using knowledge of mechanical systems and the equipment specifications to perform repairs as needed and good coordination with 3rd party vendors when outside service is required on equipment
Schedules and ensures completion of preventive maintenance, equipment list, completion of work orders, calibration and is a point of contact for emergency repairs outside business hours
Involve in lab activities to align with technical process and protocols
Ensure compliance with HSE, BioSafety, QMS and Stewardship standards
Involve in implementation of Lab Vantage genetic as per timelines in coordination with global platform
Participate in Continual Improvement projects and implement best practice
Part of One PSS in seed testing & process improvement to reduce test cost
Ability to learn and apply scientific methods/ Automation plans, which are non-routine technologies brings value in the process.
Understand and know technical know-how for the Molecular Lab (High-end) equipment. Understand the software in case the equipment is automated. (with Hardware understanding)
Look after its maintenance
Collaborate with local/global vendors for repairs and breakdown
The molecular lab is equipped with instruments like PCR, Spectrophotometer, Flourosense Rador etc. Looking out for a candidate from Electronics/ Computer Science Background
