Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep, repair, and smooth operation of equipment, facilities, and mechanical systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically sound, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical repairs, and general upkeep duties.
This position is vital for ensuring our physical infrastructure remains functional, safe, and well-maintained. Whether performing preventive maintenance or emergency repairs, the technician must act quickly and responsibly to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment and Facility Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems, machines, tools, and infrastructure.

Conduct scheduled inspections to identify potential issues or wear and tear.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools.
2. Preventive Maintenance
-
Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules to avoid breakdowns.

Lubricate moving parts, check fluid levels, tighten bolts/screws, and ensure machine safety.

Document all maintenance activities in logs or software systems as per company standards.
3. Emergency Repairs
-
Respond promptly to maintenance-related emergencies such as breakdowns, leaks, or power failures.

Diagnose and resolve issues to minimize disruption to operations or production.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure problems are resolved efficiently.
4. Electrical and Mechanical Support
-
Assist with wiring, circuit checks, lighting maintenance, and small electrical repairs.

Handle mechanical components such as belts, bearings, motors, compressors, and pumps.

Calibrate machines and instruments if required, ensuring operational accuracy.
5. Facility Upkeep
-
Assist in facility repair tasks such as plumbing, minor carpentry, painting, or HVAC filter replacement.

Support infrastructure modifications, expansions, or relocations when needed.

Monitor building safety features like emergency lights, fire extinguishers, and exit routes.
6. Inventory and Tools Management
-
Maintain records of tools, parts, and maintenance materials.

Coordinate with procurement or stores for spare parts, consumables, and tools.

Ensure proper care, storage, and return of all maintenance tools and equipment.
