A Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, assets, and people. The role involves monitoring entry and exit points, patrolling designated areas, and responding to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surveillance & Monitoring:
- Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems to detect suspicious activities.
- Check and verify identity cards, visitor logs, and entry permits.
- Conduct security checks at entry and exit points.
2. Patrolling & Safety Enforcement:
- Regularly patrol assigned areas to prevent trespassing, theft, or vandalism.
- Ensure that all doors, windows, and gates are secured properly.
- Respond to alarms and security breaches promptly.
3. Incident Reporting & Emergency Handling:
- Report any security violations, thefts, or suspicious activities to the supervisor.
- Handle emergency situations like fire, medical emergencies, or altercations.
- Assist in evacuations and crowd control during emergencies.
4. Customer & Staff Assistance:
- Guide and assist visitors, employees, and residents as needed.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures.
- Work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
