Job Description
Leading and managing plant team including direct supervisory responsibility and indirect responsibility for plant Lab Technicians.
• Maintain Quality and Food Safety programs, ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation and ensure that all new regulations are quickly and accurately implemented in the plant.
• Managing HACCP assessments. Compose and edit HACCP plans and strategies for new products. Managing HACCP records and file maintenance.
• Maintaining plant document library for all Food Safety and Quality documents (i.e. product formulas, HACCP plans, plant food safety policies and SOPs) • Managing of departmental SOPs, internal manufacturing specifications, standards, protocols and procedures, as needed.
• Developing and executing training programs with regard to quality and food safety.
• Managing administrative and record-keeping processes to support the food safety and quality programs.
• Ensuring compliance with Global and Plant safety policies.
• Facilitating the investigation of all customer quality complaints, and process deviations related to food safety.
• Performing monthly review of all quality area's for each production area.
• Reviewing all Management of Change requests for the plant related to product quality, safety and legality.
• Leading all customers and certifying body audits and implement corrective actions, as needed, to ensuring compliance to all necessary requirements.
