Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Manual Jewellery Designer with CorelDraw proficiency to join the design team of a reputed jewellery house in Andheri East, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in hand sketching, conceptualizing traditional and contemporary jewellery designs, and converting them into digital formats using CorelDraw.
You will be involved in developing unique, trend-aligned, and production-ready jewellery concepts for both the export and Indian markets, including bridal, daily wear, fashion, and statement pieces across various categories such as gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manual Jewellery Designing

Create hand-drawn designs for a variety of jewellery types, including rings, necklaces, earrings, bangles, and bracelets.

Conceptualize designs based on market trends, customer briefs, and seasonal themes.

Maintain clarity in sketches for stone placement, settings, dimensions, and overall structure for manufacturing interpretation.

Use artistic techniques such as shading, stone textures, and rendering to bring realism to drawings.
2. CorelDraw Designing

Convert manual sketches into professional layouts using CorelDraw.

Prepare client-ready and factory-ready drawings, including technical details such as dimensions, metal weight estimations, and stone specs.

Create multiple views (top, side, isometric) as needed for design approval and production.

Label each component accurately and organize design files as per internal cataloging standards.
3. Market-Oriented Design Development

Research and interpret jewellery trends relevant to international export markets (Middle East, USA, Europe, etc.) and the Indian domestic market.

Design collections that align with various market demands—luxury, minimal, festive, or contemporary.

Balance creativity with commercial viability—focus on aesthetic appeal and manufacturing feasibility.
4. Customization & Client Coordination

Support the sales/marketing team with custom design requests from B2B or high-end retail clients.

Modify existing designs based on feedback or market-specific preferences.

Collaborate with CAD and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are properly translated into 3D and ultimately into finished products.
5. Design Archiving & Documentation

Maintain an organized design portfolio, including thumbnails, full-size renders, and production specs.

Name and catalog designs systematically for internal references and future collections.

Keep track of design development progress, timelines, and approvals.
