Manufacturing Engineer Job in GE Aviation at Pune

Role Summary:
Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures (technical Bachelor’s Degree). In this role you will take care of manufacturing processes for loco product lines. You will be responsible for establishing, optimizing & improving the processes for zero defect & efficient operations. Coaching HPT members.

Essential Responsibilities

• Own development of Lean Line including implementation of Standard Work
• Identify P&E , define investment and expense needs
• Ensure all engineering designs, specifications &
  technical data are documented
• Translate engineering BoM into manufacturing BoM
• Establish & document manufacturing process through
  Manufacturing Process Plan
• Make process instructions/routings for assembly
• Interface with vendors and other functions
• Support on equipment layout plan, facility modification,
  and equipment installation and inspection acceptance
• Facilitate operator trainings and work with suppliers to
  organize for special trainings
• Establish and improvise the manufacturing processes,
  identify deviations and take corrective actions
• Target optimal
  facility utilization to meet production volumes
• Develop coaching skills to guide HPTs & support model
  line implementation
• Participate in design reviews with Engg/TTA. Lead ECO/ECR process
  for the product family
• Develop necessary fixture, tooling and material handling
  
  Requirements
  
  Qualifications/Requirements:
  
  
  • -
    Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent
    
  • -
    2-4 years experience in manufacturing operations
  • -
    High level of drawings/schematics/standards understanding
  • -
    Prior experience in Lean manufacturing is preferred
  • -
    Proficiency in Oracle applications & MS Office
  • -
    Strong EHS Background
