Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Design & Optimization
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies to enhance production speed and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
2. Production Planning & Automation
- Design manufacturing layouts and integrate automation where applicable.
- Optimize machine setup, assembly lines, and production schedules.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure products are manufacturable at scale.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet industry regulations and quality standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues in production.
- Work with the QA/QC team to implement testing and inspection protocols.
4. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Evaluate and maintain manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Work with vendors to procure, upgrade, or replace equipment as needed.
5. Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvement
- Analyze material usage, waste, and labor efficiency to reduce production costs.
- Implement energy-efficient manufacturing practices.
- Suggest design changes to enhance product manufacturability and reduce expenses.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manuals.
- Track production metrics and prepare efficiency reports for management.
- Maintain records for compliance, audits, and continuous improvement projects.
