Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Visits & Market Development
-
Regularly visit new and ongoing construction sites, particularly industrial sheds, warehouses, and infrastructure projects.

Identify opportunities where steel materials like TMT bars, MS plates, angles, beams, pipes, or fabricated components may be required.

Introduce the company’s product range and pricing structure to site managers, engineers, and contractors.
2. Client Engagement & Relationship Building

Meet and develop strong working relationships with:

Architects
-
Structural consultants
-
Builders
-
Fabricators
-
Retailers and hardware shop owners
-

Promote product specifications, usage benefits, and delivery capabilities.

Provide brochures, samples (where applicable), and technical support to help customers choose the right product.
3. Lead Generation & Conversion

Generate new business leads through field visits, referrals, and local market research.

Collect and document detailed information about upcoming projects and purchase timelines.

Follow up with prospective clients to convert leads into orders and long-term partnerships.

Coordinate with the internal sales team to prepare quotations and manage client communication.
4. Competitor & Market Analysis
-
Conduct regular surveys of the local market to track competitor pricing, new entrants, and ongoing projects.

Provide insights to the management about customer preferences, price trends, and market demand.

Suggest improvements in offerings or customer service based on ground-level feedback.
5. Coordination with Internal Teams
-
Work closely with the sales team, dispatch team, and accounts department to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Share accurate customer and order data for timely quotations, invoicing, and delivery.

Resolve customer issues related to product availability, delivery timelines, or service quality by coordinating internally.
6. Promotional Campaigns & Events

Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and local builder meetings to promote the brand.

Help distribute promotional materials like banners, leaflets, and catalogues to hardware shops and construction companies.

Promote the brand through word-of-mouth referrals and local networking.
