A Marketing Assistant supports the 'on-the-ground' marketing efforts of a company. Unlike a general marketing assistant who might work primarily on digital campaigns or from a corporate office, a Marketing Assistant is focused on regional activities, events, and face-to-face brand interactions.
Here is the typical responsibilities, skills, and daily tasks for this role.

Travel to events to help set up the booth, register attendees, and act as a brand ambassador during the event.
Collect business cards or scan badges at events and ensure lead data is entered into the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system for the sales team.
Compile 'After Action Reports' following events—summarizing how many leads were captured, what went well, and what could be improved.
Manage calendars for field marketing managers, including booking travel, hotels, and meeting spaces.The role is often physically active (carrying boxes, standing for long hours at trade shows, setting up tents/displays).
You are often juggling multiple events with different dates, shipping deadlines, and vendor requirements simultaneously.
You are the 'face' of the brand at events. You need to be approachable, articulate, and professional when talking to potential customers.
