Job Description

Machine Operation

  • Set up and operate laser cutting/engraving machines (fiber, CO₂, or CNC laser)

  • Load programs, adjust parameters (power, speed, focus), and run production jobs

  • Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure precision and efficiency

Production & Quality

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders

  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and surface quality

  • Identify defects and take corrective actions to maintain quality standards

  • Maintain production records and output reports

Maintenance & Safety

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and daily checks

  • Keep the work area clean and organized

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

  • Report machine malfunctions or safety issues immediately

Material Handling

  • Load and unload raw materials (metal sheets, tubes, acrylic, etc.)

  • Handle finished products carefully to prevent damage

  • Minimize material waste and optimize cutting efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical/vocational certification

  • 1–3 years of experience operating laser machines (preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of CNC machines and laser cutting technology

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and measuring instruments

Required Skills

  • Machine setup and troubleshooting

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic computer and CNC programming skills

  • Time management and ability to meet production targets

  • Strong awareness of safety practices

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with fiber laser or CO₂ laser machines

  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software

  • Experience in sheet metal or fabrication industry

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing / fabrication shop environment

  • Standing for long periods

  • Shift work and overtime may be required
