Job Description

We are looking for Mechanical design Engineer for our Factory, he or she will be under the Apprenticeship or pay roll depending upon the candidature and interview. 
Eligible Criteria : Diploma or B. Tech in Mechanical engineering with knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid works is must. 
Freshers and Experience both can apply for the Job . 
Experience Criteria : 2-3 years not more than that. Knowledge in Sheetmetal work is added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Concept Development and Design

    • Analyze project requirements, specifications, and constraints to develop initial design concepts.

    • Create innovative and efficient mechanical designs that meet functional requirements and optimize performance.

    • Develop design concepts based on engineering principles, considering factors like load, stress, heat transfer, vibrations, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility.

  2. CAD Modeling and Drafting

    • Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo) to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings.

    • Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and company drafting guidelines.

    • Maintain and update design files, ensuring accuracy and version control.

  3. Engineering Calculations and Analysis

    • Perform engineering calculations to validate design concepts, including stress analysis, tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics where applicable.

    • Utilize simulation tools (e.g., FEA – Finite Element Analysis, CFD – Computational Fluid Dynamics) to predict performance under different operating conditions.

    • Make design adjustments based on simulation results to improve performance, durability, and safety.

  4. Material Selection and Specifications

    • Select appropriate materials based on mechanical properties, cost, availability, and environmental considerations.

    • Develop technical specifications for components and assemblies, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements.

  5. Prototyping and Testing

    • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to produce prototypes for functional testing and evaluation.

    • Plan and conduct tests to validate design performance, durability, and compliance with safety standards.

    • Analyze test data and implement necessary design modifications to address deficiencies or improve efficiency.

  6. Collaboration and Communication

    • Work closely with other engineering disciplines, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure design integration and compatibility.

    • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure that parts and components meet specifications.

    • Communicate project progress, challenges, and design changes to stakeholders and management.

  7. Documentation and Reporting

    • Prepare detailed technical documentation including design reports, test results, and assembly instructions.

    • Maintain engineering records, drawings, and design files for reference and compliance purposes.

    • Support the preparation of technical proposals for clients, including cost estimates and project timelines.

  8. Compliance and Quality Assurance

    • Ensure designs comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations such as ISO, ASME, or other applicable standards.

    • Participate in design reviews and quality audits to ensure product reliability and compliance.

    • Incorporate feedback from quality control teams to improve product performance and manufacturability.

  9. Continuous Improvement and Innovation

    • Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering, materials science, and manufacturing technologies.

    • Suggest and implement improvements to existing products and design processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

    • Explore emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance design capabilities.
