Location: Chennai, Thirunindravur.

Job Description:
Fruhlings Essen Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and piping design software to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical design, knowledge of ASTM codes, and practical experience in the design of industrial systems and piping.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and modify 2D & 3D mechanical designs using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
Develop piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings using piping software.
Interpret and apply relevant ASTM standards and codes in designs.
Work closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and efficiency.
Assist in BOM preparation, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation.
Participate in design reviews and support project execution with accurate and timely deliverables.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in mechanical design using SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and piping software.
Familiarity with ASTM codes and basic piping engineering principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or process piping.
Basic knowledge of other standards (ASME, ANSI) is an added advantage.
