Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:

Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.

Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications for fabrication or prototyping.

Develop new product concepts and refine existing designs to improve performance, reduce costs, or enhance manufacturability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, production staff, and suppliers.
2. Prototyping and Testing:
-
Oversee the creation of prototypes and conduct tests to validate mechanical designs.

Perform structural and thermal analysis using simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, SolidWorks Simulation).

Monitor testing processes and collect data to evaluate design effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure product compliance with relevant mechanical engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry codes.
3. Manufacturing and Production Support:
-
Provide engineering support to the manufacturing and assembly teams during production.

Recommend design modifications to facilitate production scalability and efficiency.

Select materials and components based on strength, cost, durability, and performance criteria.

Resolve technical issues that arise during fabrication, assembly, or field operation.
4. Project Management:

Assist in planning and executing engineering projects within timelines and budgets.

Document all aspects of the design process, including material specifications, calculations, and revisions.

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure that materials and components meet design requirements.

Track project milestones, generate reports, and present updates to management and stakeholders.
5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Analyze system failures and recommend design improvements or maintenance strategies.

Provide technical guidance during the installation, commissioning, and servicing of mechanical systems.

Assist in developing maintenance manuals, service guidelines, and operational procedures.
