Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:

Design mechanical components, machines, and systems using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.

Develop 2D drawings and 3D models, technical specifications, and bills of materials for parts and assemblies.

Create prototypes and conduct feasibility studies for new product concepts and modifications to existing designs.

Analyze design proposals using engineering calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA).
2. Project Planning and Execution:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, civil engineers, product managers, and technicians to complete projects.

Develop project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely completion within scope and budget.

Prepare documentation such as technical reports, testing protocols, and maintenance manuals.
3. Testing and Validation:
-
Conduct physical testing and evaluation of components and systems to ensure compliance with performance standards and safety regulations.

Identify mechanical failures or design flaws and recommend solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Use tools such as sensors, data loggers, and thermal imaging for testing and diagnostics.
4. Manufacturing Support:

Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with operational capabilities.

Assist in selecting appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers.

Optimize production processes through automation, lean manufacturing, and quality control measures.
5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Analyze equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability.

Provide technical support for maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and machinery.

Develop preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
6. Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all mechanical designs adhere to local, national, and international engineering standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO, ANSI).

Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures in design and operation phases.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
