Mechanical Engineer
Location: Chennai, India

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with 2-3 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of our products, from initial design concepts to final production and testing. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design, develop, and test mechanical components, products, and systems using CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
● Conduct design validation and failure analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
● Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs).
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, electrical engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure design requirements are met.
● Participate in the prototype development process, from concept to physical build and testing.
● Perform structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis to optimize product performance and reliability.
● Assist in the selection of materials and manufacturing processes to meet product goals for cost, quality, and timelines.
● Troubleshoot mechanical issues that arise during manufacturing and in the field.
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
● 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably in a product-driven environment.
● Proficiency with CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
● Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
● Experience with a product development cycle, from concept to production.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software.
● Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, 3D printing).
● Experience with hands-on prototyping and testing.
● Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
