Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. CNC Trials & Prove-Outs
-
Conduct machining trials and prove-outs on CNC turning and milling machines at customer sites or internal facilities.

Select and recommend cutting tools based on material type, machining process, and productivity goals.

Optimize cutting parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut) to achieve desired accuracy, surface finish, and tool life.

Record and analyze trial results and submit detailed performance reports.
2. Technical Support & Application Engineering
-
Provide technical support to customers regarding tool selection, machining strategies, and cycle time improvements.

Collaborate with design, production, and R&D teams to suggest process improvements.

Troubleshoot issues related to tool wear, breakage, vibration, or dimensional inaccuracies.
3. Sales & Business Development
-
Identify and approach potential customers from manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and engineering sectors.

Promote and sell a range of cutting tools (inserts, end mills, drills, reamers, etc.) based on customer requirements.

Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops at client locations.
-
Prepare and submit quotations, follow up on leads, and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.
4. Customer Relationship Management

Build long-term relationships with machine shop owners, production heads, and purchase managers.

Understand customer needs and provide custom tool solutions or modifications.

Maintain records of customer feedback and coordinate with technical teams for product development or support.
5. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain proper documentation of all CNC trials, customer visits, sales calls, and feedback.

Submit weekly and monthly reports to management on sales pipeline, customer concerns, and market trends.

Monitor competitor activity and pricing to strategize market positioning.
