Job Description
Position Summary:
Shilpa Steel and Power Limited is seeking motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineers to join our Operations Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of high-value, high-end automated foreign machines used in our production processes. These machines are critical to our plant’s efficiency and product quality, and you will play a key role in ensuring their optimal performance.
This is a highly technical and hands-on role. Selected candidates will receive specialized training on the specific equipment and systems used in our facilities. Post-training, you will be expected to take full ownership of machine operations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation and Monitoring:

Operate and supervise the functioning of automated foreign machines involved in the steel and power production process.

Monitor performance indicators such as pressure, temperature, vibration, and efficiency to ensure optimal operation.

Respond quickly to alarms or irregularities in machine behavior to prevent breakdowns or process disruptions.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and lubrication of equipment as per the maintenance schedule.

Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.

Maintain machine uptime by ensuring timely intervention and part replacement, minimizing production downtime.
Training and Continuous Learning:

Participate actively in training programs focused on high-end machine operation and control systems.

Continuously upgrade knowledge related to machine functionalities, safety standards, and technical advancements.
Technical Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate logs of machine performance, maintenance activities, and breakdown incidents.

Provide detailed reports on machine health and suggest improvements for reliability and performance.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update them as needed based on learnings and updates.
Safety and Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Ensure all machines are operated safely and in accordance with company and manufacturer guidelines.

Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action planning.
