Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment in line with engineering best practices, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in project execution, process optimization, and troubleshooting of machinery and systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in mechanical systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Design & Engineering

Create mechanical designs, 2D/3D models, assembly drawings, and specifications using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).

Design and develop components, assemblies, HVAC systems, piping layouts, or pressure vessels depending on project requirements.

Analyze design proposals using engineering calculations and simulation tools (FEA, CFD).

Prepare technical documentation including design reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and fabrication drawings.
2. Manufacturing & Production Support

Support manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, casting, and fabrication.

Ensure that parts and assemblies meet engineering standards, tolerances, and quality requirements.

Assist production teams in resolving technical issues on the shop floor.

Conduct time and motion studies, and optimize material usage and process efficiency.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and valves.

Diagnose faults in mechanical systems using troubleshooting techniques and tools.

Maintain detailed maintenance logs, spares inventory, and equipment history.

Minimize downtime by ensuring timely repairs and replacement of faulty components.
4. Project Execution

Support the execution of mechanical installations in new projects—this includes piping, utility lines, HVAC systems, and machine setups.

Monitor project timelines, budgets, safety, and quality compliance.

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors for procurement and installation tasks.

Ensure work is carried out in compliance with approved drawings and industry standards.
5. Quality Assurance & Testing

Perform inspection and quality checks on mechanical parts and systems as per QA/QC plans.

Conduct performance and load testing of mechanical systems and analyze results.

Collaborate with the quality team to address non-conformities, deviations, and ensure corrective actions.

Support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Safety & Compliance

Follow and enforce safety practices, lockout-tagout procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.

Ensure compliance with statutory codes like ASME, IS standards, ISO 9001, and factory regulations.

Participate in audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks for site safety.
