Job Description
Education Qualification: ITI Fitter, DME, BE-MECH
Experience: 0-4 Years
Food and accommodation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Maintenance
-
Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of foundry machines and equipment.

Service and maintain induction furnaces, crucibles, burners, moulding machines, sand mixers, blowers, pumps, and compressors.
-
Carry out lubrication, alignment, calibration, and testing of mechanical components.
-
Replace faulty bearings, shafts, hydraulic hoses, pneumatic valves, motors, and drives.
-
Ensure equipment runs smoothly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
2. Troubleshooting and Repairs
-
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in foundry machinery.

Quickly repair induction furnaces, sand reclamation systems, and moulding lines during production stoppages.
-
Conduct root cause analysis for repeated failures and implement corrective measures.
-
Collaborate with the electrical, automation, and production teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
3. Installation and Commissioning
-
Assist in the installation, erection, and commissioning of new foundry machines and equipment.

Review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and OEM manuals for proper installation.
-
Test and validate the functionality of newly installed equipment.
-
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors during project execution.
4. Foundry-Specific Maintenance Activities
-
Maintain and calibrate temperature controllers, thermocouples, and energy meters used in furnaces.
-
Ensure proper functioning of dust collection systems and comply with environmental norms.
-
Inspect and repair sand handling equipment such as mixers, reclaimers, elevators, and screens.
-
Monitor hydraulic and pneumatic systems in core shooters, jolt squeeze machines, and moulding presses.
-
Perform regular checks on cooling systems for induction furnaces and ensure water flow stability.
5. Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance schedules and breakdown history.
-
Update spare parts inventory and raise requisitions for critical components.
-
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports for management review.
-
Document modifications, upgrades, and technical improvements in equipment.
6. Safety, Quality, and Compliance
-
Follow safety protocols during maintenance, especially while working with furnaces and high-temperature equipment.
-
Ensure compliance with foundry safety standards, ISO procedures, and environmental regulations.
-
Conduct risk assessments and participate in regular safety audits.
-
Train junior technicians on safe handling of equipment and emergency response procedures.
