Job Description
Mechanical Supervisor
Supervises mechanical works including installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. Coordinates with teams to ensure timely completion, adherence to safety standards, and quality control on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Supervision

Supervise and lead a team of mechanical technicians and maintenance staff.

Assign daily tasks and priorities, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance.

Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster skill development.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies by all team members.
2. Maintenance Planning and Execution
-
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment.

Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and troubleshooting activities to minimize downtime.

Monitor the condition of equipment using inspections, diagnostic tools, and performance data.

Ensure availability of necessary spare parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance work.
3. Quality Control and Compliance

Enforce quality standards in all mechanical maintenance work.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Conduct safety audits and risk assessments within the mechanical maintenance area.

Report any non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
4. Coordination and Communication

Liaise with other departments such as production, engineering, and procurement to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting operations.

Prepare and submit maintenance reports, work logs, and incident reports.

Communicate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance or repairs.

Participate in management meetings to update on maintenance status and challenges.
5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving

Provide expert guidance on mechanical failures, root cause analysis, and corrective measures.

Lead efforts to diagnose complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, machinery history, and spare parts inventory.

Ensure documentation for compliance audits and certifications is complete and up-to-date.

Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling and tracking maintenance work.
