Mechanical Technician required for Royal Enfield Service center
Jaunpur Uttar Pradesh
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our Royal Enfield-authorized service center. The technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and service of Royal Enfield motorcycles. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of motorcycle mechanics, electrical systems, engine components, and should be capable of carrying out regular and specialized services with efficiency and precision.
The role involves daily interaction with workshop teams, proper usage of tools and service manuals, and commitment to maintaining Royal Enfield’s service quality standards. Prior experience in a two-wheeler service workshop, particularly Royal Enfield, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vehicle Servicing and Repairs:

Perform scheduled and general maintenance tasks on Royal Enfield motorcycles as per service job cards.

Carry out tasks such as engine oil change, brake service, clutch adjustments, chain cleaning/lubrication, wheel alignment, and battery checks.

Conduct engine diagnostics, gearbox repairs, suspension work, and electrical fault rectifications.

Overhaul and rebuild mechanical assemblies such as cylinder heads, fuel injection systems, carburetors, and transmission systems.
2. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:

Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues using Royal Enfield diagnostic tools or manual techniques.

Address complaints such as engine knocking, poor mileage, heating issues, unusual noise, or low power delivery.

Perform road tests before and after servicing to ensure faults are resolved and the motorcycle performs optimally.
3. Technical Documentation and Job Cards:

Follow the assigned job card for each vehicle, execute tasks listed, and mark completion status accurately.

Record observations, performed repairs, spare part replacements, and time taken for each service job.

Report any unexpected issues or additional work needed to the Service Advisor or Supervisor for customer approval.
4. Quality and Safety Compliance:

Follow Royal Enfield’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines at all times.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the service bay.

Ensure proper handling and usage of workshop tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic instruments.

Conduct post-service inspections to ensure zero defect delivery.
5. Spare Parts and Tools Handling:

Coordinate with the spares department to collect required parts for each job.

Use company-authorized spare parts and avoid substitutions without supervisor consent.

Maintain and return all tools to the designated tool board or storage area after use.
6. Customer Service & Professional Conduct:

Be courteous and professional when interacting with customers (if required).

Assist with explaining basic vehicle care or maintenance tips when needed.

Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a positive attitude in the workplace.
