Job Description
Profile Summary:
Experienced and dedicated Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of diversified experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, and industrial plant sectors. Proven track record in storage tank construction, piping systems, plant maintenance, project shutdowns, blasting & painting inspection, and structural fabrication. Strong background in planning, execution, supervision, quality control, and safety compliance. Adept at coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing subcontractors, and liaising with clients to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop, monitor, and update project schedules and billing targets.
Prepare and implement project execution plans, work permits, and safety protocols.
Coordinate manpower and material resources based on inspection and work requirements.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Conduct daily and monthly progress tracking and reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
Mechanical Construction & Supervision:
Fabrication, erection, and welding of storage tanks (internal floating roof, external floating roof, cone roof) and associated structures.
Supervise erection of shell plates, annular plates, pontoon boxes, deck plates, and roof structures.
Installation of piping, nozzles, valves (NRVs, PSVs, MOVs), and other mechanical components.
Execution of hydro testing, pneumatic testing, and vacuum box testing for tanks and pipelines.
Oversee plant and refinery shutdown activities including line isolation, purging, dismantling, and loop tracing.
Maintenance & Inspection:
Conduct desludging, cleaning, and sweep blasting for inspection readiness.
Perform bottom plate inspections using MFLT, UT, and DPT techniques.
Coordinate maintenance of exchangers, vessels, cooling towers, and boilers.
Ensure compliance with inspection schedules and QC documentation protocols.
