Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training Delivery:
-
Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on core mechanical engineering topics including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, manufacturing technology, and machine maintenance.

Deliver modules on the use of tools, machinery, and mechanical systems in accordance with the course curriculum or company standards.

Demonstrate proper handling of mechanical tools, equipment, and safety gear.

Ensure that training delivery meets the needs of diverse learners with varying levels of experience and educational backgrounds.
2. Curriculum Design & Development:
-
Assist in the development and updating of training content, manuals, assessments, and instructional materials.

Customize training programs based on specific industry requirements or organizational goals.

Integrate the latest industry practices, technical standards, and innovations into the curriculum.

Plan the training calendar in coordination with other trainers or departments.
3. Hands-On Practical Training:
-
Supervise students or trainees in the workshop/lab during practical sessions.
-
Guide learners on operating machinery such as lathes, drilling machines, milling machines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and welding tools.

Monitor and evaluate trainees’ performance and ensure they follow workshop safety protocols.

Troubleshoot mechanical problems during training and encourage learners to apply practical solutions.
4. Assessment & Feedback:

Conduct written, oral, and practical assessments to evaluate learning outcomes.

Provide constructive feedback to trainees to help them improve technical and soft skills.

Maintain detailed records of attendance, test results, and progress reports for each trainee.

Report non-performance, misconduct, or safety violations to the supervisor.
5. Industry Coordination and Skill Development:
-
Coordinate with industry partners for on-the-job training programs, internships, and field visits.

Prepare trainees for certification exams or skill development assessments (e.g., NCVT, NSQF, SSCs, or industry-specific certifications).

Mentor students on soft skills such as teamwork, communication, professionalism, and workplace behavior.
