Job Description
We are looking for candidates who are having experience with Medical Billing(Payment Posting) in US Healthcare Industry
Experience: 0 to 3 years
Skills :
- Understand Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) of US Health-care providers.
- Learn and excel in Medical Billing Concepts
- Day to Day Medical billing production (Charges/Demo/Payment Posting/Rejections/Document verification/Listing/Merging)
- Able to meet client requirements as per SLA
- Good Communication Skills,
- Good Knowledge In MS Excel, Typing Skills
- Ensure deliverables adhere to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payment Posting:
-
Accurately post payments from EOBs, Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), and checks to patient accounts in the medical billing software.

Apply insurance and patient payments to correct accounts, invoices, and service lines.

Handle both manual and automated payment posting for multiple clients or providers.
2. EOB/ERA Analysis:
-
Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for payments, denials, adjustments, and rejections.

Post contractual adjustments, copays, deductibles, and non-covered services accurately based on payer information.
3. Reconciliation & Reporting:
-
Balance daily posted payments with deposit logs and bank records.

Identify and report posting discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.

Generate reports on payment trends, unapplied payments, and underpayments for further analysis.
4. Denial and Refund Coordination:
-
Flag denials or partial payments for follow-up by the A/R team.

Collaborate with the refund processing team in case of overpayments or misapplied payments.
5. System & Documentation:
-
Use billing software such as Kareo, Athena, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar platforms.

Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure HIPAA compliance in all activities.
