Key Responsibilities:

Assign medical codes to patient diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS systems.
Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology is required.
Review clinical documents to ensure accurate coding for billing and insurance purposes.
Follow healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, for privacy and compliance.
Assist in resolving coding discrepancies and maintaining high accuracy.
Attention to detail, understanding of medical terminology, and familiarity with coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
