Urgent opening for Medical coding job!!
Salary: 17-20k
Key Responsibilities:
1. Code Assignment:
-
Review and analyze patient records, clinical notes, and medical reports to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes.

Translate diagnoses, procedures, lab results, surgeries, and treatments into standardized coding formats for insurance billing.
-
Ensure all assigned codes accurately reflect the patient’s medical condition and the services provided by the healthcare facility.
2. Documentation Review & Analysis:
-
Verify the accuracy and completeness of medical documentation prior to coding.
-
Communicate with physicians, nurses, or medical staff to clarify ambiguous documentation when necessary (query process).

Identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in records and reports.
3. Coding Compliance & Audits:
-
Ensure adherence to coding guidelines established by the American Medical Association (AMA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and internal protocols.

Participate in internal quality audits and implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
-
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes, payer-specific coding rules, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, OIG).
4. Reimbursement & Revenue Cycle Support:
-
Work closely with the billing team to ensure accurate claims submission and reduce claim denials or delays.
-
Assist in analyzing denial trends, coding errors, and insurance rejections.
-
Support accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up by providing coding-related clarifications or corrections when needed.
5. Reporting & Record Management:
-
Maintain logs and records of daily coding volumes, productivity, and accuracy rates.
-
Generate coding-related reports for management or compliance teams.

Ensure all medical data is kept confidential in line with HIPAA and data security standards.
