Medical Officer Job Position in Goa University

Qualification : Essential:, i) MBBS Degree from recognized Institution/University or medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in the Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 18 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship. Hi) Knowledge of Konkani
Desirable: i) Experience in the general Medical Practice or the concerned specialty, as the case may be. ii) Knowledge of Marathi
Pay Matrix : Rs. 56,100-1,77,500
Age Limit : 45 yrs
Fee : The requisite fee of Rs. 1000/- by means of a crossed Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, Goa University payable at Panaji Goa shall be enclosed by the candidates. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category candidates have to pay 50% (Fifty percent) of the application fee. Physically Disabled candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Money orders or cheques or cash will not be accepted by the University.

established in 1985, its genesis dates back to post-Liberation era when
the Post Graduate Centre of Bombay University was established in Goa in
1966. Though the Post Graduate Centre of Bombay University met the
immediate requirements of Goan students at a time when educational
resources and avenues in Goa were limited, an acute need was felt for
Goa’s own university that would promote interest in the life,
literature, languages and cultures of the people of Goa. Envisaged as an
instrument of socio-economic development and empowerment, Goa
University was thus established in 1985 by incorporating the then
existing Centre for Post Graduate Instruction and Research of the
University of Bombay.
