Job Description
Applications in prescribed format are invited for the vacant posts of Medical Officers in Canning College Dispensary, University of Lucknow
Qualification:i) For Allopathic Medical Officer - A candidate must possess M.B.B.S degree of a university recogn ised by Medical Council of India. A candidate who possess a post graduate degree/ diploma in Medical or Health Service ofa University recognised by M.C.I. or being equal, such candidates will be given preference.
ii) For Homeopathie Medical Officer - Candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in Homeopathy from a recognised University as schedule of Homeopathy Central Council Act 1973. A candidate who possesses post graduate degree/diploma in medical or Health Services, such candidates shall given preference.
Pay Scale : Rs 15600-39100 Grade Pay 5400/- and other allowances as per U.P. Govt. Rules.

Age Limit:21 to 40 years as on 1 .7.2020 (upper age limit for reserved candidates shall be relaxable as per U.P. Govt. rules)
Application Fees:Duly filled in application form along with a demand draft of Rs 1000/- (Rs- 500/- for SC/ST candidates only) in favour of 'Finance Officer, University of Lucknow,' payable at Lucknow be submitted. In case of large number of applications, the University may adopt any policy of short listing.

The idea of starting a University at Lucknow was first mooted by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, Khan Bahadur, K.C.I.E. of Mahmudabad, who contributed an article to the columns of 'The Pioneer'' urging the foundation of a University at Lucknow. A little later Sir Harcourt Butler, K.C.S.I., K.C.I.E, was appointed Lieutenant-Governor of the United Provinces, and his well-known interest in all matters under his jurisdiction, specially in matters educational, gave fresh life and vigour to the proposal.
