Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Promotion and Sales:

Promote assigned pharmaceutical or healthcare products to general practitioners, specialists, hospitals, and pharmacies through face-to-face meetings and presentations.

Demonstrate product benefits, usage, dosage, and efficacy in a scientifically accurate and persuasive manner.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory or region.

Generate demand for prescription-based products by educating and convincing doctors to prescribe your brand.
2. Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers including doctors, pharmacists, and hospital procurement staff.

Ensure regular follow-ups, timely communication, and effective after-sales support.

Understand customer needs and provide personalized product solutions where possible.

Gather feedback and share insights from doctors and pharmacists with the marketing and product management teams.
3. Territory Management and Coverage:

Plan daily work schedules to make a set number of field calls to doctors, hospitals, and chemists/pharmacies.

Maintain and expand customer coverage by mapping new clients and managing existing ones.

Ensure optimum utilization of territory potential through efficient routing and visit planning.

Maintain a database of contacts, prescriptions, and sales activity using reporting tools or CRM software.
4. Product Knowledge and Training:

Continuously update and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, therapeutic areas, competitors, and market dynamics.

Participate in product training sessions, workshops, and refresher courses organized by the company.

Stay informed about medical news, drug interactions, industry trends, and changes in regulatory requirements.
5. Reporting and Documentation:

Submit daily call reports (DCRs), tour plans, expense reports, and monthly activity summaries to your reporting manager.

Document customer feedback, competitive activity, and market insights.

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines in all reporting.
6. Promotional Activities:

Organize CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), doctor meetings, or promotional camps in coordination with the marketing team.

Distribute promotional materials such as visual aids, samples, leaflets, and gift items as per company policies.

Participate in medical conferences, exhibitions, or trade events to enhance brand visibility and networking.
