Job Description

Job Title: Medical Representative
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Kottayam/Thiruvalla/Kochi
Reporting To: Business Development Manager(BDM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Medical Representative to join our Sales & Marketing team. The role involves promoting and selling our pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, achieving designated sales targets, and ensuring consistent product availability in the assigned territory. This position is integral in strengthening our market presence through effective relationship building and territory management.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as per the business plan.
Conduct regular visits to clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies to generate prescriptions.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with medical and pharmacy staff.
Deliver effective product presentations highlighting features, benefits, and usage.
Organize and participate in CMEs, group meetings, and product promotion activities.
Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, product feedback, and prescribing trends.
Maintain accurate and timely records of daily calls, prescriptions, and feedback.
Ensure timely collection of payments and compliance with company’s credit policies.
Coordinate with distributors and stockists to manage inventory and ensure product availability.
Participate in internal training, review meetings, and external conferences as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, or a related field (B.Pharm/B.Sc preferred).
0–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience (Freshers are encouraged to apply).
Sound understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology is advantageous.

Skills Required:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong persuasion and negotiation capabilities.
Goal-driven and self-motivated with a customer-centric mindset.
Ability to build lasting rapport with doctors and pharmacists.
Basic proficiency in MS Office, reporting tools, and mobile applications.

Working Conditions:

This is a field-based position, requiring daily travel within the designated territory.
May involve extended working hours or weekend schedules depending on customer availability.
