Knowledge:

·         Essential for conveying findings  Observation

·         Knowledge Of Regulatory guidance  

Responsibilities:

Identifying and documenting the medical necessity of treatment plans and reviewing the appropriateness of treatment methods used

Reviewing clinical records and assessments to ensure they meet regulatory requirements

Interpreting clinical data in terms of medical terminology and diagnoses

Evaluating the appropriateness of recommended treatments based on standards of care within the medical community

Providing feedback to physicians, nurses, and other medical staff regarding treatment plans or patient outcomes

Communicating with patients, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure that all concerns are addressed

Performing peer reviews of physicians’ clinical practices to ensure that they meet ethical and legal standards

Reviewing claims from health insurance companies that have been denied by insurance providers based on medical necessity

Providing feedback to insurance companies regarding the medical necessity of treatments
