Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-driven Medical Sales Representative to join our healthcare sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our medical products, devices, or pharmaceutical solutions to healthcare professionals such as doctors, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.

As a Medical Sales Representative, you will serve as the primary liaison between our company and healthcare providers, ensuring that clients are well-informed about our offerings and confident in their use. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with medical professionals, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that improve patient care and outcomes.

This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare industry trends, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.

  • Identify and target potential clients including hospitals, clinics, physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare institutions.

  • Conduct regular visits to healthcare professionals to present, demonstrate, and explain the features, advantages, and benefits of our medical products or pharmaceutical drugs.

  • Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and participation in medical conferences and industry events.

2. Relationship Building and Account Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and healthcare providers.

  • Understand the specific needs and challenges of clients and tailor sales approaches accordingly.

  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Manage and grow existing accounts by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

3. Product Knowledge and Training:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, including indications, contraindications, side effects, and competitive advantages.

  • Keep abreast of developments in the healthcare industry, medical regulations, and competitor activities.

  • Educate healthcare professionals on product usage, clinical benefits, and safety information.

  • Participate in product training and continuous professional development programs.

4. Market Research and Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to provide insights to management.

  • Track sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups using CRM software.

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans for management review.

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to plan and implement promotional campaigns.

5. Compliance and Ethical Standards:

  • Adhere to all regulatory and ethical guidelines related to pharmaceutical and medical device sales.

  • Ensure all promotional activities comply with company policies, industry codes, and local laws.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and company information.
