Job Description
Mandatory Skills:
A Mendix Architect is a senior-level professional responsible for designing, building, and implementing enterprise-grade applications on the Mendix low-code platform. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, and a deep understanding of business processes. They are the technical leader on a project, ensuring the final solution is scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Key Responsibilities
Design: Lead the design and architecture of complex Mendix applications, translating business requirements into a robust and scalable technical solutions.
Technology Leadership: Mentor a team of Mendix developers, conducting code reviews, and enforcing best practices for development, and security.
Integration: Architect and manage integrations with third-party systems, enterprise applications (like SAP or Salesforce), and APIs using REST, SOAP, or OData.
Performance and Scalability: Ensure applications are designed for optimal performance, maintainability, and future scalability, often leveraging cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Governance and Standards: Define and enforce architectural governance, coding standards, and quality assurance processes across projects.
Innovation: Stay current with the latest Mendix features and industry trends, identifying opportunities to improve development processes and solution capabilities.
Migration: Move the Mendix based applications onto new environments and platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Mendix Expertise: Proven experience with the Mendix platform, with a Mendix Advanced or Expert certification being highly preferred.
Migration Experience: Proven experience of migrating applications from one environment to another environment.
Cloud experience: Experience of deploying Mendix platform and applications on both VMs and Containerized solutions is preferred.
Development Experience: Strong background in software development, including knowledge of traditional programming languages like Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Database Knowledge: Experience with database systems, including SQL and NoSQL concepts.
Cloud and DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization technologies (like Docker and Kubernetes), and experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
