Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic fresher with a BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Mechanical Engineering to join our leading MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) industrial project-based company in Chennai. The selected candidate will be part of our project and design team, working on planning, designing, and executing MEP systems for industrial, commercial, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
As a fresher, you will gain hands-on exposure to MEP project execution, design documentation, and client coordination, under the guidance of experienced engineers. This is an immediate opening for candidates who are eager to learn, willing to travel for site work, and committed to building a strong career in the MEP sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Support and Execution

Assist senior engineers in planning, scheduling, and executing MEP works for ongoing projects.

Learn to interpret project specifications, technical drawings, and engineering designs.

Support site teams in supervising electrical, mechanical, and plumbing installations.
-
Participate in quality inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
2. MEP Design Support
-
Assist in preparing MEP layout drawings using AutoCAD or other design tools.
-
Learn to perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system design for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Help in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material specifications, and cost estimates.

Support in drafting design reports and technical documentation for client submission.
3. Coordination and Communication

Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems.

Attend client and consultant meetings to understand project requirements.
-
Maintain regular communication with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of materials.

Document and report daily progress to the project manager.
4. Learning and Skill Development

Undergo on-the-job training to develop technical expertise in MEP design and execution.

Stay updated with the latest MEP technologies, codes, and best practices.

Participate in internal workshops and skill enhancement programs.
Skills and Competencies
1. Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and their functions.

Familiarity with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical diagrams.

Understanding of HVAC principles, electrical load management, and plumbing systems.

Exposure to AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software (advantageous but not mandatory for freshers).

Awareness of safety procedures in industrial and construction sites.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or BE in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience: Freshers are welcome; internship or academic project experience in MEP is an added advantage.

Location: Chennai (with possible travel to project sites in Tamil Nadu or other locations).
