Role: Merchandiser
Department: Sales / Retail / Buying / Production
Main Purpose: To ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantity, and at the right price.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage product assortments according to customer demand and market trends.
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, buyers, and sales teams.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
Track sales performance and identify fast- and slow-moving products.
Conduct market and competitor research.
Assist with pricing, promotions, and product launches.
Ensure products meet quality and company standards.
Prepare sales, inventory, and performance reports.
Resolve issues related to stock, delivery, quality, and product availability.
Maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers.
Work toward sales, margin, and inventory targets.
Required Skills
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and numerical ability.
Knowledge of Excel and inventory-management systems.
Good understanding of retail/market trends.
Organization and time-management skills.
Ability to coordinate with multiple teams.

Note: A fashion/export merchandiser has additional responsibilities such as buyer communication, costing, sampling, order follow-up, production tracking, and shipment coordination.
